ING wanted to convey the depth and breadth of its Financial Markets capabilities to clients and prospects worldwide, and needed a way to tell their story to accomplish two goals: reflect everything positive about the ING brand while still creating an ownable brand identity for themselves. We undertook an extensive research process within their organization, and created marketing communications tools that help their sales force articulate their brand promise easily and memorably. From printed collateral and trade show booth design to advertising and presentation material, ING Financial Markets now has a cogent and intriguing brand story to attract new clients and cross-sell existing ones.

Dexter Systems needed to refresh a decade-old identity and find a way to rise above the endless sea of “custom software solutions” providers they compete with. Scarlet Heifer found the kernels of differentiation resident in the company’s people and its unique perspective on creating software; we honed Dexter’s positioning, crafted the brand’s story, then developed ownable iconography brought to life in the most important of marketing environments for a software firm – their web site.

Scarlet Heifer worked with General Sentiment to extend its brand identity systematically throughout all its touchpoints, while also helping develop and market a range of products and services for various market targets. A unique provider in the emerging social media “listening” space, General Sentiment engaged us for work encompassing a range of content and design direction -- from the web site and user interfaces of various online tools, to printed materials and offline-published reports...and more.

Renewable Lubricants, Inc. approached Scarlet Heifer looking for help in transforming the product line into a truly branded concept to attract investment capital for expansion. Scarlet Heifer identified a brand idea that works equally well across the company’s B2B and B2C targets and demonstrated how the product proposition gains exponentially greater value when it is perceived as a well developed brand, operating in multiple media.

BioRestorative Therapies is a startup in the emerging field of (adult) stem cell therapies that needed a way to prove to potential investors and stakeholders that this scientifically complex and “uncharted waters” business idea could be made to resonate with consumers, profitably. While Scarlet Heifer did lay the marketing foundation for the new company (brand name & identity), we also stepped back and created a marketing program aimed at securing startup capital from skeptical investors – including a web site, a multi-media presentation, as well as other support documents -- meeting the brand’s primary needs first.

Chartpak, Inc. needed an umbrella thematic to connect its disparate brands, but one with enough flexibility to permit individual product line brands to tell their own story. A Master Brand brochure yielded individual brand spread ads, connected thematically and graphically, giving the company a way to talk about multiple lines with buyers and end users alike.

CoThrive needed an online presence that was worthy of the software product they offer: powerful and breakthrough, but simple and intuitive. Scarlet Heifer redesigned the brand identity and crafted a new theme line for the brand, and created a brand story where only a product story existed before…all designed to present the brand in a way that connects with the target audience’s needs.

The Disability Opportunity Fund connected with Scarlet Heifer for help in establishing themselves as an organization worthy of corporate attention in a world full of attention-deserving charities and non-profits. We identified that the DOF was different - a hybrid of a cause-related organization and an innovative financial enterprise that seeks to bring businesses into the picture for business benefit, not just for charity. We created the “RISE” identity and campaign concept as a vehicle to identify this new kind of entity, it’s mission, and its aspirations for people with disabilities, and worked with the DOF to bring this idea to life across a full range of media and new product concepts.

General Counsel Solutions is at the forefront of an emerging breed of legal services that offers an alternative to traditional law/firm retainer models. The company needed an overall brand presence that would signal trust and legitimacy and convey its position in the market; and also needed the ability to describe, in great detail, its relevance and competence in specific high potential business verticals. Scarlet Heifer gave the brand its voice and created a template for collateral that conveyed the brand story consistently while allowing for a high level of customization.

GustBuster makes arguably the finest umbrella in the world, but limited resources and a lack of focus meant this fact was a secret outside the golf community. Scarlet Heifer guided the brand into the social media space, managing 24/7 conversations with users and fans, creating viral videos, and enhancing the company’s ecommerce presence. We also created a campaign for traditional print and transit posters, and redesigned the retail packaging to align all communications behind the idea of “The World’s Smartest Umbrella.”

Heavenly Sins is the dream of a young upstart fashion designer with a vision to launch not only a label, but a new kind of social media experience. Scarlet Heifer merged classical brand development thinking with an ownable and unconventional creative approach, to give the brand a firm footing in the ephemeral world of fashion and digital/mobile media, launching in Fall 2010.

Scarlet Heifer developed the first ad campaign for this specialized line of sports eyewear, focusing on its golf market products with magazine and online advertising. Our conceptual approach helped the brand stand out in the highly technology-driven world of golf equipment and accessories advertising, while still communicating the technical aspects of the brand’s superior features.

Scarlet Heifer designed the Kathleen Rice for New York State Attorney General website. We developed a strong visual tonality based on her core values of determined justice. The navigation makes it easy for campaign supporters to join, clearly articulates the issues as she sees them, and rewards the user for participating in the conversation by offering links to social communities. The net result is an informative and inviting site founded on straight talk, instead of "politicalese;" we've all heard enough of that, haven't we?
